The AFS Bargaining Team met with senior CRA officials on Thursday, March 29th to sign the new AFS Collective Agreement and bring it into force.  This collective agreement runs from December 22, 2014 to December 21, 2018.

Your CFIA-IN Bargaining Team will be holding a town hall via teleconference to explain the ratification process and discuss the tentative agreement. Please join us on the call if you have questions regarding the ratification process or the tentative agreement.

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Saskatoon AV AGM has been postponed until further notice.

Our Chapter is at a cross-roads and we need your input. We live in busy times, even in ‘retirement’, and there are many ways to stay informed with Institute activities and matters related to retired members. Over the past few years our attendance has dropped and we are wondering if we still need to have a physical chapter in the Valley?

Earlier this year, PIPSC asked 27,878 membersNote [1]  to tell us if the Phoenix pay system has successfully paid out their retro pay.

It was a beautiful, albeit cool, first day of spring on the NRC Montreal Road Campus in Ottawa so members of the PIPSC RO/RCO Group gathered for a hot drink and a photo-op. This “Spring into Action” event was organized to show support for the bargaining team who are in session next week.

On January 24, 2018 your Bargaining Team reached a tentative agreement with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency to renew your Collective Agreement. Please find all the proposed amendments to the agreement attached for review.
