Pursuant to the 31 October 2017 News update, all recently submitted VM job content grievances against job descriptions currently part of the existing 2011 VM group job content grievances, will be placed in abeyance until the 2011 grievances are resolved.
Negotiations started on September 25 to September 27, 2018, between the Treasury Board Secretariat and the AV Group for a new collective agreement. The next bargaining session is scheduled for December 11-13, 2018.
Following the close of nominations on October 19, 2018, the following members expressed their willingness to serve as representatives on the CFIA-VM Group Executive. The term of office for the members elected to the CFIA-VM Group Executive shall be two (2) years.

The theme of the 99th AGM was “Crossroads,” alluding to the choice that lies before PIPSC and the labour movement. 

Steven Kreisberg spoke about his experience with AFSCME in the United States as they fought and ensured the sustainability of their public service union in the face of the elimination of their dues model. 

The experience of Steven and AFSCME is more relevant than ever to PIPSC members.
