Employee Wellness Support Plan Presentation for South Vancouver Island PIPSC members
Dale Hudson is one of the nine PIPSC members on the EWSP Advisory Team who meet each month to work out the details of what will be included in the new program. As you may recall, PIPSC signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Treasury Board (TB) during the last round of contract negotiations.

21st Ontario Regional Steward Council Meeting
Friday September 7 to Saturday September 8, 2018
The Ontario Region Steward Council will be held on Friday September 7 and Saturday September 8, 2018 at Nottawasaga Inn Resort. The Council will be one and one half [1 ½] days, starting on Friday at 1:00 p.m., with registration beginning at 12:00 p.m. The Council will continue on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at between 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. No scheduled events will take place on Saturday evening.

With some regret, and in order to take advantage of timely professional opportunities, Vice President Shirley Friesen will be leaving her position with the Institute.
PIPSC would like to thank Ms. Friesen for her 5.5 years as Vice President as well as her years as a dedicated Steward and CSC National Consultation President.
We are certain that she will continue to provide the same level of dedication, professionalism and hard work to future endeavours.

June is National Indigenous History month and June 21st, National Indigenous Peoples Day (NIPD), is a special moment to celebrate First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada.
The Institute encourages its members to enjoy the celebrations of Inuit, Métis and First Nations cultures, contributions, and accomplishments on this day. We represent Inuit, Métis, and First Nations women and men in scientific, professional and many other occupations. In
pursuit of ensuring fair employment relations for the benefit of all its members, the Institute promotes equitable hiring practices, non-discrimination, and accommodation in federal public sector workplaces.
While NIPD celebrations contribute to increase visibility, raising the bar with respect to Indigenous Peoples inclusiveness in the public service and the labour market demands everyone's involvement, including government, as appropriately outlined in the Final Report of the Joint Union/Management Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion, released in December 2017.
On June 21, and the following days, we encourage all our members to join in celebrating with federal Indigenous employees their diversity, rich cultural heritage, and to salute them for their notable service to Canada.
