AV TORONTO SUB-GROUP 2017 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, ELECTIONS AND LUNCH

All PIPSC AV Toronto Sub-Group members (AU, CO and PG with employment address in Toronto area) are cordially invited to attend and participate in the AV Toronto Sub-Group 1st Annual General Meeting with complementary lunch.

Date: Wednesday December 6th, 2017
Time: Noon to 1:00pm
Location: Victoria Room, Cambridge Suites Hotel, 15 Richmond St. East Toronto (Yonge and Richmond)
Note: For those employees that usually take 30 minutes for lunch, please discuss and make arrangements with your supervisor if you want to take the full hour for lunch.

The Annual General Meeting is intended:

  • To elect the positions of the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and 7 Member at Large positions. See By-Laws for the term of positions. Nominations will be made from the floor of the AGM on December 6, 2017.
  • To approve the Subgroup budget for 2018
  • To meet your local stewards / other PIPSC National Executive members and to have a dialogue with your Sub-Group executive members
  • To better understand what your Sub-Group and the PIPSC National Office do for you;
  • To get an update on current AV Group and PIPSC activities, and
  • To ask questions about our Institute

Space is limited to 48 members. Please confirm your participation to avtoronto@pipsc.ca no later than December 4th, 2pm.

Complimentary Lunch - Soup and Sandwiches, including vegetarian, will be provided along with deserts/coffee/tea etc..

Proposed Agenda

  1. Welcome by the AV Group President Ray Paquette and Vice-President Peter Gabriel
  2. Roll Call (members of the Interim Sub-Group Executive)
  3. Approval of the Agenda
  4. Report of the Interim President
  5. Annual Financial Report Interim Treasurer
  6. Elections (AV Group Executive to Chair the Elections portion of the meeting) and Report of the Elections Committee;
    Appointment of Elections Committee; turn meeting over to chair of the election committee
    Election of Sub-Group Executive, including By-Law creation and acceptance. See By-Law attached.
