Agenda: Approved with no changes.
Meeting called to order by President Krsna Khoyratty.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the ramifications and concerns around the newly negotiated PIPSC Collective Agreement.
Individual members talked about how retention and recruitment would be affected by National Rates of Pay. The BC Provincial Nurses have gained traction and the wage gap is now narrowing between Provincial and Corrections Nursing. Individual clinicians expressed their concerns. Members were encouraged to get out and vote.
members talked about labor management issues and diminished resource staffing levels in their respective Institutions. Members were encouraged to utilize the services of the ERO. Strategies were shared on how to raise awareness of any contentious issues and how they could be effectively addressed with management.
