The CNSC Pay Equity Committee is entering the final steps of completing the legislated pay equity plan. Originally scheduled for September 2024, the CNSC obtained an authorization to extend the required implementation of a pay equity plan for all workers at the CNSC. With the assistance of an outside consultant, the committee has made progress in reaching the final steps of the development of the Pay Equity Plan, which is expected to be posted later this year.

At this time the committee has not been able to calculate if any positions are expected to receive a pay equity adjustment, however all staff will be made aware once the draft plan is posted. Mandated by the Pay Equity Act, the CNSC Pay Equity Plan must be posted for 60 days for all employees to read. The committee must consider all feedback received. To that end, PIPSC encourages all members to take the time to read the Pay Equity Plan and submit feedback at that time. Your feedback will help ensure that the committee can properly identify and eliminate any pay equity gaps.
