The Halifax NR Sub-Group will hold its 2022 Annual General Meeting on Thursday, Oct 13, 2022, at the New Lion’s Head Tavern at 3085 Robie Street, Halifax, NS from 5-7 PM (https://lionshead.ca/).
Dinner will be provided along with refreshment and door prizes. This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow professionals from different federal departments in a relaxed social setting. This is also an opportunity to discuss issues and exchange ideas in areas of common concern and meet new friends. This year we will have two representatives from our National Executive, Dale Hudson and Dave Young, who will provide an update on National Executive activities and efforts to date on Collective Bargaining.
We will also be electing our new Sub-Group Executive to a new term. All positions are open for election and would invite you all to consider getting involved and serving as part of the Sub-Group. You can nominate yourself, a friend or forward your name to myself and I’ll be more than happy to put your name forward. The following positions are up for election:
President (2 Year Term)
Vice-President (2 Year Term)
Treasurer (2 Year Term)
Secretary (2 Year Term)
(2) Member At Large (1 Year Term)
This is our first AGM since the COVID outbreak and we are limited in numbers to thirty. We have reserved a private room on the second floor of the Lion’s Head Tavern as a COVID precautionary measure.
