Quebec City IT Sub-Group
Call for nominations
Pursuant to the Constitution and By-Laws of the Quebec City IT Sub-Group, take notice that one (1) position of President, one (1) position of Secretary, one (1) position of Treasurer and three (3) positions of Director on the Quebec City IT Sub-Group Executive will be filled by election at the 2023 Annual General Meeting to be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
Role of the Chairperson: to chair meetings, to ensure that the agenda is followed, and to ensure that parliamentary procedures and rules are followed at meetings. Represent the subgroup in various activities.
Role of the Secretary: The Secretary shall maintain a record of meetings for the period prescribed by the policies of the Institute. The Secretary makes sure to send a copy of the minutes to the Institute (one weeknight, about 6 per year).
Role of the Treasurer: to maintain the financial books in accordance with the Institute's policies, prepare financial statements and prepare the annual allocation request (one weeknight, approximately 6 per year).
Role of the Director: to participate in executive meetings (one weeknight, approximately 6 per year) and to pass on information received to his/her colleagues.
Nominations can be made in writing (a simple email) before April 18, 2023, or at the meeting. Nominations have to be submitted by a member in good standing and seconded by another member in good standing. Nominations should be sent to the Elections Committee chaired by Denis Caissy at dcaissy@pipsc.ca.
