The Executive’s role is to exercise the authority of and act on behalf of the Branch between general meetings of the Branch. The aim of the Branch is to represent Branch interests, to provide a forum for the discussion of Institute affairs, to administer the By-Laws, to make recommendations to Regional Council and to the Institute on topics or matters within the objectives of the Institute, and to nominate delegates to Regional Council and Institute meetings in accordance with the By-Laws of those constituent bodies.
Essentially, the members of the chapter executive play the role of a transmission belt between the Institute, the executive of the Quebec region and the members of the Eastern Quebec Branch. They inform the members of the strategies, solutions, concerns and priorities identified at the level of the Institute and the executive of the Quebec Region and forward to them the questions, concerns, problems formulated by you, the members of our Branch. Be a part of it!
According to our By-Laws, Executive members serve a three-year team. The Branch Executive meets as frequently as is required, but at least three times a year and no more than six times a year.
Thank you and I look forward to meeting you
