TORONTO EAST AFS SUB-GROUP AND BRANCH ELECTIONS - CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
The current mandate for the Toronto East AFS Sub-Group Executive and Toronto East Branch Executive will end on December 31, 2022. The AFS Sub-Group is made up of AFS Members only while the Branch is made up of all Professional Institute Members in the Toronto East Tax Services Office. Nominations are now invited for the following positions:
AFS Sub-Group Executive: Branch Executive:
President– 1 position President – 1 position
Vice-President – 1 position Vice-President – 1 position
Secretary – 1 position Secretary – 1 position
Treasurer – 1 position Treasurer – 1 position
Member-at-Large – 7 positions Member-at-Large – 7 positions
The term of office for these positions is two years from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024.
All AFS Members in the Toronto East Tax Services Office (including the Oshawa Office and 55 Town Centre) home location are eligible to be candidates in the AFS Sub-Group Election and all Institute Members in the Toronto East Tax Services Office (including the Oshawa and 55 Town Centre) home location are eligible to be candidates in the Branch Election except exclusions and members of the Election’s Committee.
To be a candidate in these elections, the nomination form on the reverse must be completed and returned to a member of the Elections Committee listed below before 4 p.m., Thursday, October 27th, 2022.
One of the responsibilities of the Elections Committee is to try to ensure there is at least one candidate for each position. The Committee is also authorized to verify any statements of fact made by candidates in their résumés.
Once the Elections Committee has reviewed the nominations, if an election is needed, it will take place at our local AGM.
