The Sioux Lookout Branch / Northern Nurses Sub-Group AGM - November 2, 2023
The Sioux Lookout Branch / Northern Nurses Sub-Group held its AGM on November 2nd at 6:30 CST/ 7:30 EST.
This was a virtual meeting and had 12 members logged in.
The meeting was called to order at 6:35 CST and the President of the Branch introduced the attendees to the Executive. We had the following guest speakers VP Eva Henshaw who oversees the Health Portfolio and spoke to the members about PIPSC and their plans for dealing with the plethora of issues that the Northern Nurses are faced with daily.
Then Cara Ryan PIPSC Negotiator on the Bargaining Team spoke about the fact that we are now on our third Negotiator representing the Treasury Board and that this process has been arduous. She also told the members that monetary requests have been exchanged with the Treasury Board and the next meeting is planned for the week of December 11th. She also shared that points in the Collective Agreement have been discussed.
Lori Clace the Northern Nurses Sub-Group President/ISC Consultation President/ Representative on the Safety and Security Committee spoke about the issues being dealt with during consultation and what exactly this entails.

Attendees were asked to put their location in the chat and some “swag” was sent out to each of the attendees.
The AGM was adjourned at 8:30.
