Hello NCR Steward,
Almost a year has passed since the pandemic shifted our lives in many ways. This has made it difficult to meet in person to share ideas and network with your fellow stewards in the region.
As all in person meetings/events continue to be suspended until May 31, 2021, we want to ensure that we are providing opportunities to our steward network to stay connected and informed. On behalf of Regional Director Carr, the Regional Office, and the Chief Steward, we invite you to attend a virtual town hall.
The town hall will take place virtually on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 1 to 4 EST via Zoom. If you would like to attend, please send to amcbride@pipsc.ca by Monday, March 22, 2021.
The tentative agenda for virtual town hall will be as follows:
- Welcome
- Employment Relation Officers and how to reach them.
- Information on the status of the Phoenix settlement.
- Information on 699 Leave and when to file grievances
- Information on Bill C-65
- Information on new parental leave provisions
- Open Question and Answer
We hope you can attend and look forward to engaging and answering your most pressing questions.
Compensatory salary of 3 hours will be available for participants in accordance with the Policy on Financial Support for Member Participation. If due to your work circumstances you need more than 3 hours to participate, please contact Jennifer Carr.
