---- In December 2016, the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada and the Treasury Board reached a deal on a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to support employee wellness.
In the MOA, the parties agreed to negotiate the creation of an Employee Wellness Support Program (EWSP) to improve employee wellness and ensure the safe and successful reintegration of employees into the workplace after prolonged absences due to illnesses or injury. The EWSP is expected to replace the sick leave provisions of your collective agreement.
To ensure that our members have factual and accurate information, PIPSC’s EWSP Advisory Team is delivering presentations about the current status of EWSP to subgroups and branches. The EWSP Advisory Team provides specific direction on all matters relating to the negotiation of a new sick leave regime to the EWSP Technical Committee which includes representatives from PIPSC, CAPE, ACFO and IBEW.
Jennifer Carr, member of the EWSP Advisory Team, has kindly accepted to deliver a presentation to PIPSC NCR-NRCan Branch members.
The lunch and learn event will be co-funded by the NCR-NRCan Branch and the NR-NRCan subgroup.
You are invited to attend the presentation. Please register by September 12th to NRCan_RNCan@pipsccollab.ca and include your PIPSC member number and any specifics on food allergies, preferences or absentions.
We look forward to seeing you there.
