MINUTES of the meeting of the Québec City Chapter Executive of the Retired Members Guild of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada held on March 4, 2022 at La Piazzetta Saint-Louis Restaurant, located at 3100 de la Forest Street, in Québec City.

1.0 Opening of the Meeting
The meeting began at 12:30 p.m.
2.0 Proposed New Executive for the Québec City Branch
In view of the resignation of members of the Québec City Chapter Executive of the RMG and the fact that a new Executive was not appointed at the AGM in the fall of 2021, the following members declared themselves candidates for the various positions indicated below.
Yvon Brodeur, President
Denis Arsenault, Vice-President
Réjean Michaud, Treasurer
Sylvie Laperrière, Secretary
3.0 Current and potential members
Yvon Brodeur shared information on the current number of Branch members and recently retired members who will receive an email from PIPSC inviting them to join the guild and a copy of the invitation email.
4.0 Suggested future actions
The participants suggested a number of potential actions to encourage more buy-in and implication:
- change the invitation letter sent to retirees by the Institute
- further promote the benefits of membership
- identify potential activities that are attractive to members
- consider the possibility of issuing a newsletter
- identify topics of interest and contacts to present them
5.0 Next meeting
The date of the next meeting has yet to be determined following Yvon Brodeur’s submission of the minutes of this meeting to the Membership Service Committee and the Guild’s President.
6.0 Adjournment of the meeting
Meeting adjourned at 2:30 PM.
