Hello SP 401 Burrard Subgroup Members,
We had another difficult year last year with COVID, floods and wildfires. We hope you and your families have kept safe and are doing well. We have not been able to do many subgroup activities such as lunch and learns, and our AGM, but we are hoping this year will be different. The subgroup executive will be meeting soon to brainstorm ideas for possible spring/summer engagement. To start, we want to continue the tradition of supporting our members who are interested in joining the Vancouver Sun Run. The Vancouver Sun Run is an annual tradition where runners/walkers get together to complete a 10 km race. This year it will be a hybrid of virtual and in person race options. It is certainly a good event for our physical and mental well-being. In an effort to promote good health and unity of our members, the SP 401 Burrard Subgroup will be partially reimbursing subgroup members who join the ECCC Sun Run team (details below). Even though it is the ECCC team, subgroup members from different departments in the building are welcomed to join. The amount of reimbursement for each member will depend on the number of registrants; it will be up to $20/member with a maximum of $200 total split between all of the team’s SP members. So, if you would like to join the ECCC team and get out for a run, please follow these instructions below:
