Held June 6, 2018 at Siva’s restaurant at 5:45 p.m. with welcome and reception.
Started at 6:00 p.m. with guest speaker Gilles Bisson MPP for the Timmins James Bay Area. Gilles spoke on the importance of the work public service workers do and how outsourcing impacts on the public and Public Service Workers.
At 6:30 p.m. review of the previous minutes, excepting of the meeting agenda first Michele and seconded by Anne then proceeded to have dinner.
Roxanne briefly spoke on the bargaining updates occurring at the CS table and then proceeded to introduce Lynn Ohlson who spoke in depth on the Employee Wellness Program.
The President’s report addressed what was done in the branch throughout the year including but not limited to participating in the Branch President’s teleconferences and in the Political Awareness Campaign.
The Treasurer’s report looked at the balance as well as the expenditures for the year. The binder would be made available should anyone want to look at it.
Nominations for the position of Treasurer/Secretary were brought forward. Meghan Jones and Cassie Roy were nominated and both accepted. Votes were casted by using paper ballots with Cassie Roy winning the majority of the votes.
Roxanne was nominated for the position of President and it was acclaimed.
There were no questions for the round table. Lynn Ohlson did provide bargaining update for the SH group. The meeting rounded up with a brief closing statement made by Roxanne.
The AGM ended at 9:00 p.m.
