My name is Susan Evans, President of PIPSC, ACOA, National Consultation Team. This position was previously held by David Chu of Halifax. We are currently soliciting a PIPSC representative on the PEI and Tourism Regional OHS Committee in accordance with Section 135.1 of the Canada Labour Code, Part II.
My achievements with PIPSC, to date, include being appointed as a steward last year, my involvement in the formation of the new St. John’s, AV Sub Group 2 ½ years ago and my participation on the Sub Group Executive as secretary. I am currently employed at the St. John’s, ACOA, Newfoundland and Labrador Office.
No one knows more about the hazards and unhealthy conditions in a workplace than people who work there daily. We are requesting your assistance in filling the role of PIPSC Representative on the ACOA, PEI and Tourism Regional OHS Committee for the PEI Regional Office. The committee member would serve a two year term which expires December 31st, 2020.
