NR Group 2019 Election - Shilei Liu

I am requesting your support to elect me as one of the NR Group Executives.   I have been an active PIPSC member for more than 16 years. Over the past few years as a PIPSC steward, I have dealt with many labour-management grievances, and served as the labour co-chair for the Workplace Health and Safety Committee (WHSC).  I have also worked with PSAC on issues that needed coordination between our unions. As a member of your NR Group executive, I will represent you and do my very best to address your concerns. I believe everyone should have a voice within our union.

In order to fulfill this role, I will focus on the priorities of our members and work constructively with all elected officials and staff. I will work hard to:

• Listen and advance your ideas to others I will ensure that your opinion is heard within the workplace.
• Promote employment equity, diversity & inclusion, and create healthy work environments free from harassment. Everyone should be treated fairly and respectfully!
• Contribute to bargaining and a better Collective Agreement Like many of you, I have a vested interest in CA negotiations, as I have many years of service left.

I work effectively in a team setting and bring a fresh but experienced perspective to the table. I will cooperate with other NR executives and parties to achieve successful results.
