Your Bargaining Team is very pleased to present the ratification package in preparation for voting on the new tentative agreement!
As you are aware, in the early hours of December 15, 2018 a tentative agreement was signed with the Employer, completing this round of negotiations. The team was successful in fending off all major concessions proposed by the employer and in advancing many of the SA group issues, most importantly securing a commitment from the Employer to review and fix the problems with the SR classification in partnership with PIPSC and SA members.
We again thank all the members of the SA Group for their continued patience and support during these protracted negotiations.
This agreement must now be ratified by the CFIA SA membership. An electronic vote will be held in order to ratify this agreement. All members in good standing will receive the voting instructions by email. The voting will be open for a period beginning January 25, 2019 and closing at 12:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on February 8, 2019. Please ensure your membership information is up to date.
Important Information:
There will be a town hall(s) scheduled to answer questions from the membership regarding the proposed amendments to the collective agreement. Members will receive a separate communication with the date(s), time(s) and location(s) of the town hall, with call-in instructions if required.
You will find all the information below. It is important that you take the time to review everything prior to voting and prior to asking questions to the Bargaining Team.

A Yes vote means: You are accepting all of the changes proposed in the tentative agreement. Those changes will take place at the date of the signing (except as otherwise noted) and the employer will have a period of 120 days to implement them (this includes any retro pay).
A No vote means: You reject the tentative agreement and instruct the CFIA-SA Bargaining Team to pursue further negotiations, with a high likelihood of heading to arbitration.
The Bargaining Team unanimously recommends the acceptance of this tentative agreement.
In Solidarity,
Your Bargaining Team
