Invitation to "Introduction to Occupational Health and Safety" Training

To all Members and Stewards of the Quebec Region,
We are pleased to invite you to the Introduction to Occupational Health and Safety Training held from May 30 to June 1, 2018 at Hôtel Le Victorin (19 boul. Arthabaska Est, Victoriaville, Qc. G6T0S4)
This basic course is available to members and stewards. First, the course will help participants better understand how members see their health and safety at work. It will also give participants a better understanding of occupational health and safety. By getting to know their workplace better and their main occupational rights, participants will learn the importance of union action to better prevent work-related injuries.
Approximately 20 spots are available and priority will be given to those taking part in OHS Committees within their respective workplaces.

(Please note that because PIPSC has not negotiated any arrangements for spouses, additional costs will be charged to individual accounts.)
Accommodation and meals will be provided onsite and your salary will be reimbursed for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (and part of Tuesday if you need to take time off work to travel). You must request leave from your employer and obtain a leave form signed by your immediate supervisor. Your transportation and other expenses will also be reimbursed, as provided in PIPSC’s Travel Policy. Travel and salary claims are available on the PIPSC site.
Training begins: Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 8:30a.m.
Departure from hotel: Friday, June 1, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.
