Subject: National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women
On December 6th, we will be remembering victims of violence at the École Polytechnique in Montreal in 1989. The commemoration will be held at the Human Rights Monument on Elgin Street at 6pm. PIPSC is hosting a quiet reception after the event at the Lord Elgin Hotel for members in our community affected by the tragedy.
All members of the NCR are welcome to attend the commemoration event and to show support for our members as we confront violence in our schools and workplace. We ask that PIPSC members respect the solemnity and significance of this day to participants.
