As members, you are invited to attend the
Sherbrooke AFS Sub-Group AGM

Our guest speakers will be:
- Mr. Steve Parent, AFS regional representative and members of the AFS Bargaining team;
- Mr. Frédéric Durso, Employment Relations Officer, Regional PIPSC office in Montréal;
The agenda, the minutes of the last AGM and the various committee reports will be sent to you prior to the AGM for your information.
Dinner will be graciously offered on site (including coffee/tea/soft drink).

NOTICE TO MEMBERS - Call for nominations
In 2016 and 2017, two members of the current Executive – Ms. Melissa Wingeat (President) and Mr. Bertrand Provencher (Director) – decided to leave their union positions.
According to the AFS Group By-laws, in this situation the President, the Vice-President, the Secretary and the Treasurer must be elected at the Annual General Meeting. Their term of office is to be a maximum of three (3) years.
Therefore, an election must be held at the AGM on November 6, 2017, to fill the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer for the Sherbrooke AFS Sub-Group.
The By-Laws provides that all members are eligible to run for office and to vote in elections for the Executive.
If you are interested in this challenge, please apply by responding to this email no later than November 5, 2017, OR by submitting your nomination in person at the AGM on November 6, 2017.
Kindly provide the following information:
- Your name
- The position for which you are applying: President, Vice-President, Secretary or Treasurer
- Several Member-at-Large positions are also vacant.
The election will take place at the November 6, 2017, AGM at the time set aside on the agenda.
