We’re starting to prepare for the next round of bargaining by putting together the OSFI Group Bargaining Team.

Three (3) positions are available.

Apply to join the team by emailing Shaheena Mukhi smukhi@pipsc.ca indicating why you would like to join the team and how you meet the criteria (see below).

Applications to join the bargaining team must be submitted by 12:00 PM ET on Monday, September 15, 2025.

As per the OSFI by-laws, the Group Executive will appoint the bargaining team members based on the recommendations of the OSFI Chair.

To be as representative and equitable as possible, the OSFI Executive will consider the following criteria in its selection process:

  • Availability
  • Diversity of the team, including representation of equity-seeking groups, language, classification, department and regional diversification
  • Communication skills
  • Relevant leadership experience, including in labour relations
  • Capacity to work within a team
  • Experience as a steward or in the interpretation/application of the collective agreement will be an asset

Please note that this role requires a significant time commitment for team members:

1) PRE-BARGAINING PREPARATION – at least 1-2 days every 6 to 8 weeks from December 2025 until the end of March 2026, with possible reading assignments between bargaining committee meetings.

2) BARGAINING TABLE - Starting in April or May of 2026, the bargaining team will be meeting with the Employer at least twice (a week each time) to negotiate the new collective agreement, and those “table” meetings will be scheduled in the spring.

Interested members must be committed to the process by dedicating their time, making decisions by consensus as often as possible, representing all OSFI members regardless of classification, and respecting the confidentiality of bargaining.

If you have any questions, please email Shaheena Mukhi smukhi@pipsc.ca.
