The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada, a national union representing more than 70,000 professionals and scientists throughout Canada, is seeking a Digital Community Builder to join our team at our National Office in Ottawa.

What can I expect to do in this role?
Under the direction of the Director, Corporate Services and reporting to the Manager, Operations, the Digital Community Builder undertakes key responsibilities in the development and implementation of digital strategies to recruit and engage members to participate and subscribe to corporate programs.
Primary responsibilities:
- Oversees the conceptualization, development, and layout of the appropriate technical infrastructure design, maintenance and use of the websites and client relationship management (CRM) databases used for corporate programs and or service offerings in collaboration with Information Technology and other functional areas within PIPSC.
- Identifies creative growth strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and revenue generating opportunities for the program, negotiates licensing agreements and contracts with current and potential corporate program partners.
- Evaluates and monitors corporate program(s) performance by establishing key performance indicators, ensures contract compliance by obtaining revenues from partners, where applicable, and reconciling program revenues, and addresses any issues with participating partners.
- Maintains corporate program documentation and a master inventory of all relevant corporate program data, including but not limited to, partner performance results, partner reporting on sales and or usage, Non-Disclosure Agreements, third party contracts, proprietary content, pricing, metrics, etc.
- Oversees and creates content to post and manages platform responses to members and participating partners as well as and facilitates the resolution of program issues with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborates closely with other functional areas within PIPSC to plan strategic approach and positioning of various organic outreach strategies to bring content to life. Oversee and advise on content creation for multiple channels (i.e. website, social media, email, Google Ads).
- Researches and analyses data with the aim of providing recommendations on optimizing program performance and producing metrics and reporting to support and optimize business decisions.
- Administers and liaises with third party providers, as required to accomplish goals and objectives as required to meet corporate program and or service offering requirements.
- Researches and reviews the latest developments in marketing strategies and initiatives and adapts tactics related to digital, web, social media, and email to achieve goals and objectives.
- Represents and participates in off-site initiatives such as presentations to members and hosting information booths.
- Participates in and/or oversees special projects individually, or as part of a multi-disciplinary team and works collaboratively with employees in other teams.
- May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements
Education / Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a similar field
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) years of performance marketing experience is required.
Language requirement:
- Fluency in both official languages (French and English) is required
Skills and experience required:
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to engage across different business areas, maintain attention to detail, and effectively multitask and prioritize diverse responsibilities.
- Strong networking abilities; a dynamic team player who brings energy and enthusiasm to collaborative efforts.
- Strong written and oral skills, project coordination skills, and a keen eye for detail.
- Highly creative and analytical with a proven track record of devising digital campaigns that engage, motivate, and convert.
- Strategic thinker with experience executing content creation, storytelling, media planning and social/digital marketing
- Well-versed in performance marketing٫ conversion٫ and online customer acquisition.
- Continuously stays up to date on the latest trends and best practices in search engine marketing.
- Proficient in website analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- Deep knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Optimize, HubSpot, MailChimp, WordPress, Google Tag Manager, and Zapier.
- Strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and App Store Optimization (ASO)
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $87,359 to $109,201 (G5)

- Paid time off from December 27th to 31st
Note
Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the IAM local 3011 bargaining unit.
