This is your voter’s kit for the election of the CFIA-VM Group Executive. Voting will take place by electronic means only. No paper mail-in ballots will be provided.
You will receive the email to vote on February 5, 2025.

This year, we will be electing the following to the CFIA-VM group executive for 2-year terms.

The Atlantic Regional Representative with the highest number of votes from the members in this region will be considered elected to the CFIA-VM Executive Committee. For the two Member-at-Large positions, all candidates are to be ranked in order of preference. The two candidates with the highest number of votes will be considered elected to the CFIA-VM Executive Committee.
The CFIA-VM Group is looking for candidates that have significant previous union experience and a good working knowledge of the 2026 CFIA-VM Collective Agreement and PIPSC.
Elected officials will be required to:
- assume Officer portfolios;
- attend Sub-group Annual General Meetings (AGM) in their region;
- attend the CFIA-VM Group and PIPSC AGMs, as well as the Sub-group President’s Meeting; and
- The executive meets approximately 6 times per year.
Voter Eligibility
Members in good standing with PIPSC in the CFIA-VM Group are eligible to vote in their respective regional election and all member-at-large positions.
Voting Instructions
Please read the following information carefully:
- All emails from the voting system will come from: donotreply-nepasrepondre@elections.pipsc-ipfpc.ca (please check any junk/spam folders).
- An onboarding email will be sent on February 5, 2025, with the following subject: PIPSC Voting System Account Onboarding.
- If you have not received the onboarding email, please ensure we have the correct email address on file by contacting elections@pipsc.ca
- If you have received the onboarding email but wish to update your current email on file, please reach out to elections@pipsc.ca
- If you have already completed the onboarding for the National Election or the Practice Vote, you will NOT receive this email.
- Members must complete the onboarding process to log into their account (a password reset will not work). Please follow the instructions in the onboarding email.

Election Activities
Problems have arisen in the past which have caused embarrassment to candidates, some examples of which should be avoided:
- Use of any Institute membership list for campaign purposes. Contact information contained on the PIPSC Web Site is provided for the sole purpose of allowing members to contact their Institute representatives for employment-related problems or questions. This information may not be used in unsolicited bulk e-mailings.
- Use of a logo sufficiently similar to the CFIA-VM Group or the Institute logo as to imply support.

Resumes Submitted by Candidates
All candidates were invited to submit résumés, of 200 words or less, stating their experience/objectives. The résumés of candidates for the positions you are eligible to vote for can be viewed on the PIPSC Web site when you go to submit your electronic vote.
