You’re invited to VANCOUVER ISLAND NR SUB-GROUP AGM 2023
When: 16 NOVEMBER 2023 at 1700 PST
Where: GORGE VALE GOLF CLUB
The VANCOUVER ISLAND NR Sub-Group will hold its 2023 Annual General Meeting on Thursday, Nov 16, 2023, at the Gorge Vale Golf Club, 1005 Craigflower Road, Victoria from 5-7 PM followed by dinner.
This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow professionals from other federal departments in a relaxed social setting and to discuss issues and exchange ideas in areas of common concern. This year we will have presentation on the topic "Beyond Net Zero: A holistic Approach to Deep Energy Retrofit" by Melvin Lau - Architect AIBC. (https://www.ryderarchitecture.com/insight/beyond-net-zero/). In addition to that new NR Group President Gary Corbett and NR bargaining coordinator Hugo Buttau will be joining us to provide updates.
We will be electing Sub-Group Executives to a new term. Positions listed below are open for election and would invite you to consider getting involved and serving as part of the Sub-Group. You can nominate yourself, a friend or forward your name to myself and I’ll be more than happy to put your name forward. Our current bylaw has been revised and needs approval during the AGM.
The following positions are up for election:
- Vice-President (2 Year Term)
- Treasurer (2 Year Term)
- (1) Member At Large (2 Year Term)
- Secretary (1 Year Term)
- (1) Member At Large (1 Year Term)
