The YHC Group will hold its in-person Annual General Meeting (AGM) for PIPSC members working in the federal public service and at Yukon Hospitals on Thursday, April 3, 2025. The meeting will take place at the Gold Rush Inn from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by dinner.

Call for Nominations: YHC Executive Committee

The YHC Group Executive is seeking nominations for the following positions, each with a 2-year term:

  • President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer

Elections will be held at the AGM on April 3, 2025. You may submit your nomination in advance by completing the form below by 5:00 PM ET on March 28, 2025, or you may submit your nomination from the floor during the AGM. We encourage members to participate in this valuable volunteer leadership opportunity.

The nomination and election process is governed by our YHC Group Bylaws, Articles 6 and 7. Here’s an overview of the process:

  • Nominations must be supported by at least 2 regular YHC Group members
  • The Elections Committee/PIPSC will review nominations to ensure eligibility
  • If necessary, a vote will be held at the AGM

As a member of the Group Executive, you will:

  • advance the professional interests of members
  • protect the status and standards of our profession
  • represent members' views on issues affecting them
  • ensure the Group’s interests are represented in proceedings with both the employer and the union

Elected executive members may also serve on the YHC Bargaining team.

This is a voluntary position with an approximate monthly commitment of 20 hours. The executive meets in person about 6 times per year. For detailed descriptions of each position's responsibilities, please refer to Article 6.7 of our bylaws.
