Your Bargaining Team is very pleased to present the ratification package in preparation for voting on the new tentative agreement!

 As you are aware a tentative agreement was signed with the Employer on December 16, 2019, completing this round of negotiations. We again thank all the members of the YHC Group for their continued support during negotiations.

This agreement must now be ratified by the membership. An electronic vote will be held in order to ratify this agreement.  All members in good standing will receive the voting instructions by email. The voting will be open for a period beginning January 21, 2020 and closing on January 31, 2020.  Please ensure your membership information is up to date.

Important Information:

There will be drop in information sessions scheduled to answer questions from the membership regarding the proposed amendments to the collective agreement. We will be available to answer questions on a drop in basis at the Whitehorse hospital (conference room to be confirmed) on January 21 from 10am – 1pm. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the AGM scheduled on January 21, 2020. From 5pm – 7pm at the Westmark Hotel. We will again be available on January 22 on a drop in basis at the Whitehorse hospital from 11am – 2 pm and from 5 pm – 7 pm (conference rooms to be confirmed). These hours may be amended depending on demand. For members in Watson Lake and Dawson City, we will provide a conference line to call into to ask questions and will provide the information once the room is confirmed.

You will find all the ratification information below. It is important that you take the time to review everything prior to voting and asking questions to the Bargaining Team.

Please review the attached documents:

Yes vote means: You are accepting all of the changes proposed in the tentative agreement.

No vote means: You reject the tentative agreement and instruct the Bargaining Team to pursue further negotiations, with the potential for a strike or lockout scenario.  

The Bargaining Team unanimously recommends the acceptance of this tentative agreement.
