The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada

Thank you for the great turnout at the WTEG town hall on September 27, where we shared the results of our bargaining survey.

Your interest and participation are critical as we start the process of renewing our collective agreement.

You have made it very clear that the high increase in the cost of living is a concern that you would like to see addressed in this round of negotiations. Other issues that we will be bringing forward on your behalf to the company for improvement are:

  • remote work
  • hours of work
  • leave provisions
  • the ever growing number of contractors performing your work

Your team, along with the WPEG bargaining team, participated in a PIPSC negotiations training on September 28 and 29. Planning and training will continue this fall in preparation of face-to-face negotiations with the company, scheduled to start before the end of the year.

As the negotiations proceed, your team is committed to post updates after each bargaining session. In addition, future all-member town halls will be held on site to provide you the opportunity for Q&A sessions. If you have any questions, concerns or issues you would like brought up during the negotiations, please email WTEG_questions@pipsc.ca.

In solidarity,
