Cowell welcomed new members (Janice & Denis); He thanked them for volunteering to be on our Executive;

3) Approval of Draft minutes:
a. draft minutes of Nov 24 2016 Exec meeting; m/s Hureau/Cowell; Carried

Action Item: Hureau request PIPSC translate/post Nov 24 2016 Exec meeting minutes;
Action Item: Kerr request PIPSC translate/post draft Jan 25 2017 AGM minutes;
4) Business Arising from the minutes –
Action Item: Simon Cowell to follow up with PIPSC By Law’s Committee, on changes to our by laws (which were approved at previous Jan 2016 SP SG AGM);
5) Treasurer’s Report
Powers (regrets tonight); So gave Treasurer’s report to Cowell for presentation tonight (on his behalf); Cowell provided Treasurer’s report;
Action Item: Powers applying for new allotment;

Action Item: Kerr to request that PIPSC update the Vancouver SP Sub Group Executive (as shown above), and add the contact information provided by our new members (Denis and Janice);
7) National and Regional Updates
a. Cowell noted that Enzo Barresi arranges for regular conference calls providing updates on SP activities to all of the Sub Group Presidents & Vice Presidents; last call there was a push for voting on proposed new collective agreement; (voting closes March 10 2017);
Action Item: Cowell to ask Enzo if those conference calls (of the Sub Groups) can be scheduled monthly, or, alternatively, provide advance notice by circulating a schedule of upcoming calls for this year; as it will allow additional time (instead of one week notice) to make arrangements to participate;
b. Cowell provided update on training: Advanced Stewards Training; (Burnaby April 5-8); Better Together Engagement Training (Vancouver May 6th); Basic Steward Training (Vancouver May 11-13); SP National AGM (Ottawa May 27th); Regional Council (Burnaby June 2-3 2017);
8) Vancouver Sub Group Activities for 2017
a. Events: Cowell to ask President Vancouver Branch (K Hall) if the Branch prefers an expression of interest (or web form completed), by those members who wish to apply to be delegates at the BC/Yukon Regional Council in June 2017;
b. Cowell to ask Vancouver Branch (K Hall) if there is interest in SP Sub Group partnering with Vancouver Branch in events, such as Movie night;
Action Items: Bramwell to check pricing for cruise & fireworks; Executive members to look into ideas for spring or summer events for our SP SG members;
c. Cowell encourages workplace events – coffee & donuts; ice cream truck ;
d. Hureau/Cowell advised that formation of a SP Subgroup at 401 Burrard Sub Group is ongoing;
