SP Elections 2019 - Marcel Beaudoin

As President of the 50 Victoria Street subgroup for the past 4 years, member of the subgroup executive for almost 10 years, Secretary of the SP Group National Executive Committee since 2016, SP Bargaining Team member and, as new steward, I am seeking re-election to the National SP Executive Committee to continue to serve you.

During my term on the National Executive I staunchly advocated for more accountability from the National Executive on behalf of the membership. I have always been accountable for my mistakes, and I feel strongly that accountability is important for all levels of PIPSC. I pushed strongly for the Bargaining Team selection process to start with a call for interested SP group members. This happened early 2018 and culminated in the formation of your current bargaining team. I have continually emphasized the need to ensure all SP group members have opportunities to participate in SP Group activities, and that all SP members are kept as informed as possible. We are a group of intelligent scientists and engineers, and you are best served by receiving timely, accurate information. If re-elected, I pledge to keep you well informed.
