Dear PIPSC retired members in the NCR,

The executives of the Retired Members’ Guild-NCR Chapter hope you are doing well and that you have stayed safe and healthy during this unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout the various stages of the pandemic, the RMG-NCR executive has continued to meet virtually on a monthly basis to discuss various issues such as the impact of the pandemic on the engagement of members, COVID-19 vaccination, privatization of long term care, as well as plans for future seminars and planning for its annual general meeting. The RMG-NCR executive had hoped it would be in a position to hold an in person 2021 AGM, however, virtual meetings continue to be the preferred option, barring the recent requirement to present proof of vaccination for all in-person meetings. PIPSC is requiring all constituent bodies who have not held an Annual General Meeting in 2020 to hold their AGM before October 31, 2021.

Therefore, the RMG-NCR executive is pleased to invite you to participate in its virtual 2021 AGM which will be held on October 28, 2021 from 11:30-13:00. The agenda will be forwarded to registered members. Please register before October 24th. Registration for the RMG-NCR AGM will close when the number of seventy five (75) retired members has been reached or on October 24th whichever comes first. Participants will receive a $25 gift card as a token of appreciation for attending.

Please note that elections will be held for the seven vacant positions on the executive. Should you be interested in running for a position, please confirm your nomination in writing in advance of the AGM to Sylvia Boucher, Vice President of the RMG-NCR Chapter. Clearly specify in the subject line: Nomination for RMG-NCR executive position. Nominations will also be accepted on the day of the AGM.

The virtual AGM will be held via the free Zoom application. If you do not already have it, you will need to download/install the application on your computer in order to participate. Instructions are included here

The RMG-NCR executive looks forward to seeing you virtually at its 2021 AGM.

Respectfully,

Sylvia Boucher

Vice President, RMG-NCR Chapter
