Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Chapter ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

You are invited to attend the 2019 Annual General Meeting of the GTA Chapter of the Retired Members Guild (RMG), which will feature a subsidized lunch and guest speakers.
Date: Thursday, September 26, 2019
Registration and Lunch: 11:30 a.m.
Time: From noon to approximately 2:30 p.m.
Location: The Pickle Barrel Restaurant, Yorkdale Shopping Centre (north-west corner of Yorkdale Mall between The Bay and The Cheesecake Factory)
- There is plenty of free parking and the location is accessible by TTC.
A $20 lunch subsidy is available to GTA RMG members for this event. The Pickle Barrel will be offering us an $11.99 (before taxes and gratuities) special 2 course meal (7 entrees to choose from including a vegetarian option) OR alternatively, members will be free to order other food items straight from the menu if they wish.
Guest Speakers:
Rick Maharaj, Toronto Paramedic Services (formerly Toronto EMS), will speak on the subject of services for seniors offered by EMS and how seniors can make their home environment safer.
Aron Wolfson, President, GTA Chapter of the RMG, will provide an update on the status of our Dental Plan and will recommend actions to be taken.
Michael Forbes, Ontario Regional Representative of the Retired Members Guild, will provide an update on issues discussed at our National office.
A Q&A session will follow each speaker. Please join us as we discuss cutting-edge issues which are very relevant to retired members. This is your opportunity to stay in the loop! Renew old friendships. Make new ones.

The following items are currently scheduled – the complete agenda will be provided prior to the meeting:
- Regular Chapter business
- Chapter elections for the positions of Vice-President and Member-at-Large (2 vacancies). These positions are for a three-year term. Individuals interested in running for any of these positions may submit their names to Aron Wolfson prior to the meeting at a.wolfson@rogers.com or from the floor during the AGM.
- Draw for door prizes

SEATING IS LIMITED. Early RSVP's will be given preference in the event that demand exceeds the maximum limit of attendees.
