NR Call for Nominations 2019
In accordance with the NR Group Constitution, By-Law 8 Elections, the Group Elections Committee is sending out a Call for Nominations for the following seven (7) positions on the NR Group Executive: 4 in the NCR (Three for a two year term and one for a one year term), 1 in Ontario, 1 in Quebec, and 1 in Prairies.
All regular and retired members of PIPSC who are members of the NR Group are eligible to run in their region. The nomination form must be signed by the nominated member indicating that the member is willing to serve if elected and must be signed by at least five (5) NR Group members.
Candidates are also asked to submit a brief résumé of their experience and objectives (maximum 250 words) with their nomination. Additionally, candidates are to indicate their status in PIPSC (regular member or retired member) and their occupational classification (AR, ENG or SUR) which will not be counted in the maximum word count.
Résumés will be translated and inserted in the Election Voting Kit as submitted by the candidates. Please note that it is the responsibility of candidates to review their résumés before they are submitted because they will not be corrected for spelling or grammar. The 250 word maximum will be strictly administered.
Nominations Forms and Résumés are to be received by email group_elections@pipsc.ca no later than 4:00 p.m., Ottawa Time, Friday, January 11th, 2019.
The Elections Committee is authorized to verify any statements of fact made by candidates in their résumés prior to publication.
