The president, Pierre Touchette called the meeting to order at noon.

 

MOTION to adopt the agenda – M Eric Pascal Bourre /S Jean Colas.  Carried.

 

BUSINESS ITEMS

 

            MOTION to adopt the last minute meeting of Dec 12th, 2017

Moved by Cheryl Jennings, seconded by Pierre Touchette. Carried

 

President’s Report

 

  • The following topics are discussed:
    • classification standard, security inquiries at SSC, issue at the Department (Close session) complaint (transfer that topic to Pipsc HQ for a consultation between ERO and Labour Relation).

 

    • The stewards have been renewed. Some have questions about none active steward in some Department that we never heard of and or not participating or doing no help for info-sessions.  This is a big issue and it is our duty, but we are all volunteers.

 

VP Report

 

  • The Vice President will be attending the Annual Subgroup President meeting on behalf of Pierre Touchette. 

 

MOTION to propose Randy Oomento attend.  Seconded by Vaden Ellsworth.  Carried.

 

  • And like always he indicated that he had a few disciplinary meetings and grievances going on.

 

 

           

Treasurer’s Report

 

  • Brian Murray reported that the financial report for the AGM and the budget are completed, but we could review. Table of the budget report in appendix. Budget discussion with members of the executive.

 

MOTION to accept Financial Actual for 2017 – Brian Murray /S Pierre Touchette. Carried

 

Secretary’s Report

 

  • Cheryl has lost his work laptop.

 

MOTION to accept that the subgroup give her an (close session) amount, according to the Pipsc Policy.  Moved by Randy Oomen /S Vaden Ellsworth. Carried.

 

ROUNDTABLE

 

  • Discussion about Rand Drive that Pipsc is doing and Better Together Campaign.
