CS To IT Classification Update
Current Status: Job Descriptions are being prepared by departments for the conversion.
- APN- Advanced Personal Notification - a letter informing you of the proposed classification (group and level) of your position upon conversion. tentative date to receive this notice is October 2020. You cannot grieve the APN.
- OPN - Official Personal Notification- Tentatively Dec 2020. The OPN is a letter which will include the level, salary band of your converted position, grievance rights and the conversion date.
- This is NOT an exercise to ‘correct’ misclassifications. Members are entitled to a complete and current statement of duties and responsibilities. We recommend that everyone start early discussions with their Managers prior to October to have a complete and current job description. As per your CS Collective agreement Article 20.02 you are entitled to a complete and current statement of duties and responsibilities. If you do not think you work description is complete and current, you may grieve.
