Vacation & Compensatory Leave Cash-out
For 2020
Following consultation with the bargaining agents, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat has decided to continue the postponement of the automatic cash-out of vacation and compensatory leave for 2020.
- The vacation and compensatory leave payouts will not be automatically cashed-out in 2020, unless requested by an employee.
- The next automatic cash-out date of excess hours will be last day of the vacation year, normally March 31, 2021, as stipulated in the CS collective agreement (Article 15.07).
- This decision is based on the ongoing issues with the Phoenix Pay System, and the workload of compensation advisors.
