Greg Scriver - Résumé - for Member-at-Large

Working together for our Union,

Greg Scriver has over 15+ years of union experience.

I formally ask for your support to elect me as one of the CS Group Member-at-Large members. The CS Group Executive is one Executive that I haven’t been a part of and I know I can offer my experience and knowledge to the CS Group.

As a proud Indigenous person my heritage The Mohawks of Kahnawá: ke. Having an Indigenous background, I am sensitive to the needs of visible minorities and have advocated on behalf of issues promoting diversity.  I have also campaigned in support of mental health issues and remain a strong supporter of these issues. I current sit as the PIPSC Institute Indigenous Representative on the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) Indigenous Rights Working Group.

The Institute and CS Group needs dynamic leadership, someone who stands up, reacts in a timely matter, who really cares and wants to improve our CS Group, that someone is me. As a former NCR Director, Member of the Board of Directors, I have been working hard the past 4 years and would like to continue to build on it with your help. I’ve been representing members, listening to your concerns and will represent the CS Group to the best of my ability.

I will continue to work hard by ensuring the CS Group has a strong voice, presence and visibility in your Region, we can work together to make our Institute even better. I will represent YOU. I believe everyone has a voice and a place in OUR Union and OUR CS Group.

I offer you a proven track record with over 15+ years of experience as a union activist and representative. I have an open mind and a strong desire to advance your issues and concerns. Mobilization is very important to me. I always lead by example by participating in many events. I will continue to take the lead with strong leadership. I’ve helped organize Bill C-27 Pension and Bankruptcy reform for the last 3 years, and have helped organize many other events and activities, with your support I will continue to do this for the CS Group.

As CS Executive Member-at-Large, I will continue my goals:​

  • Mobilization and Consultation.
  • Continue to listen and advance your issues.
  • Ensure that the CS Group is being fiscally responsible with our union dues.
