I have organized Executive meetings, AGMs, social events, lunch & learns and worksite visits.
I have represented the membership in Consultation, Regional Councils, Group AGMs and National AGMs. At AGMs, I don’t hesitate to go to the microphone if I believe I can contribute to the debate but don’t speak just to hear myself talk.
I have been a member of the Atlantic Regional Organizing Committee (ROC) for the last three rounds of Collective Bargaining. I have supported the Bargaining Team by organizing group pictures, distributing visibility items, putting up posters, encouraging members to follow and discuss developments in bargaining and encouraging members to vote on Tentative Agreements.
I believe this experience has given me a good understanding of our Collective Agreement, the structure of PIPSC and members’ concerns.
I would appreciate the opportunity to bring this to the table as a Member at Large on the CS Group Executive.
