Report of Prairie/NWT Regional Representative

To the AV Group AGM

June 22, 2019

Prior year activities in the Region have included my attendance at the Saskatoon subgroup AGM (with President Peter Gabriel) and the Winnipeg subgroup AGM.  I assisted the Winnipeg subgroup with various member activities including a bargaining update and a Christmas membership event.  I also forwarded a member information pamphlet developed by the Winnipeg subgroup to the AV group President and to the Saskatoon subgroup. I attended the ACFO Lunch and learn in Ottawa, as well as a Town Hall in Winnipeg pertaining to the new CT classification and AUs moving to this classification.  I worked with the Winnipeg and Southern Manitoba Branch on various joint member activities.

During the upcoming year I plan on furthering potential subgroups in Calgary, Edmonton and Regina.  I also plan on keeping AU members informed of the move to the CT group represented by the ACFO.  As well I will continue to work collaboratively with the local PIPSC branch on various events.
