BC/Yukon Report

During the past year BC/Yukon representative Angela Cowie has served you through her work with the National Consultation Committee and the AV Group Bargaining Committee, she attended AV National Executive meetings in the National Capital Region, hosted the AV National Executive in Victoria BC, represented many AV Group members in a Steward capacity, represented the AV Group members at the Victoria Regional level in her role as Executive Secretary and attended as a delegate at the PIPSC National AGM, the BC/Yukon Steward Council and BC/Yukon Regional Council. Angela attended and supported both the Vancouver and North Central Vancouver Island Subgroups AGMs, she represented PIPSC in management consultations with her employer Public Services and Procurement Canada and worked with management in delivering “Understanding Your Collective Agreement”, a Joint Labour Program course for members and fellow workers all while settling her family into their new life on the west coast and navigating a busy career.

In the coming year Angela Cowie will continue to serve you in many of the ways listed above but also by approaching AV Group members in BC/Yukon in a grassroots approach to ensure AV Group representation at both the BC/Yukon Regional level at the PIPSC national level. Angela will continue to work with the National Consultation Committee, attend AV National Executive meetings and represent PIPSC members in a Steward capacity. She intends to represent the AV Group members at the Victoria Regional level in her role as Executive Secretary and as a delegate at the PIPSC National AGM, the BC/Yukon Steward Council and BC/Yukon Regional Council. Angela will continue to support the Vancouver, South Vancouver Island and North Central Vancouver Island Subgroups and serve both PIPSC and the employer to DO BETTER.
