On December 5, 2020, a majority of the delegates present chose to suspend the deliberations of the day and resume the AGM on a future date, to be determined by the Institute’s Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors has decided that the 2020 AGM will resume on April 10, 2021.
The Board of Directors was guided by its determination to resume the business of the AGM at the earliest possible opportunity, while respecting the requirements of governing legislation, the Canada Not-For-Profit Corporations Act and its Regulations. This legislation requires that we provide a 16-week notice to delegates of the time and date of the resumption of the meeting. The date of resumption of the meeting respects this requirement and takes into account the availability of the service providers. The Board considered multiple alternatives and concluded that the date selected is the earliest possible date for resumption.
